On April 29 - May 3, 2024, DDPI conducted the Safety Skill Training and Competition 2024, which is an annual company competition regulated by Technology Group.
The event which took place at DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Education and Training Center, involving 18 participants from various divisions who were representatives of each IPP.
The main objective of holding this competition is primarily to continue achieving zero accident and improving safety skills in all aspects and areas on Site, then safety must become a habit, daily life, and culture of all employees. To expand its objectives, this particular training and competition also aims to increase the safety knowledge and emergency response skills of each employee and minimize the risk of work accidents and fatalities.
On first day of training, each participant practiced rappelling down a building using a rope while carrying a dummy body. Then on the following day, each team from all IPPs was challenged to succeed rescue training of a dummy body from 12-meter deep well. IPP-2 Kendari was the fastest team on this training.
Each team from all IPPs then conducted a training to rescue a dummy body from smoke chamber on third day of training. Resulted IPP-1 Sumsel as the fastest team on this training but faced communication problems because the handy talky they used turned out to have a different type of channel. Then on the last day, each team from all IPPs conducted water rescue training. They were trained to be able to use an inflatable boat (manually or with a motor) properly to be able to rescue victims out of the water.
From the entire series of training and competitions and in accordance with the applicable assessment rules, IPP-1 Sumsel emerged as the Best Team in this event.
We congratulate IPP-1 Sumsel and wish this training and competition may provide good improvements to the implementation of HSE throughout all IPPs.
