Environmental Preservation as part of CSER aims to preserve the environment of the surrounding area of Company's operations. The preservation activities may focus on energy use, water use, waste management, recycling, reducing emissions, eco-friendly operation, and business travel policies. These activities are significant in giving positive contribution to the sustainability of the environment.
DDPI has significantly contributed to environmental preservation by developing several programs that are different from common CSER programs, such as coral reef rehabilitation and 10,000 mangroves plantation.
Coral Reef Rehabilitation in Teluk Staring, Banda Sea
Coral reef rehabilitation was carried out in Teluk Staring, Banda Sea in December 2021 to repair damage caused by improper fishing activities. Not only that, PLTU Kendari-3 also continues monitoring progress of this rehabilitation up until today to ensure the preservation aim is achieved.

Planting of 10,000 Mangroves
PLTU Kendari-3 carried out the planting of 10,000 mangrove trees on the coast of Tanjung Tiram Village and Wawatu Village in commemoration of World Environment Day 2022.

Planting of Acacia Tree Seeds
PLTU Sumsel-5 always proactively cares about environment preservation. As many as 350 acacia tree seedlings have been planted at Sumsel Site in 2019 to green work environment.
